This photo is the Aloha Table Runner that I made with Cathy Miller - the Singing Quilter. It was the grand prize on the Aloha Quilt Cruise. It was so exciting to have her on board because she is known for her quilt singing adventures all over the world. The fun part of making this was that we each hand pieced half of the table runner and we live at a distance as she's on the island near Victoria and I'm about 6 hours away on the mainland in the Okanagan Valley. We used a fun technique called Inklingo which was invented by Linda Franz. I designed the pattern, Linda designed the shapes in Inklingo and then Cathy and I put it together. Before the cruise I had it long arm quilted by my friend Eileen Zornes. In the photo it doesn't even have a binding yet as I completed that in my cruise cabin before we gave it away as the grand prize!
